Photo agency ZIPA PHOTO marks five years since the beginning of its work today. Its headquarters are in Banja Luka and it is the first, so far the only photo agency in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Established with the intention of providing its users with fast, meaningful and quality photography, the Agency has fully succeeded in achieving its basic goals. During these five years, ZIPA PHOTO AGENCY has successfully reported on events from all continents of the world through photographs and thus, despite much more modest conditions, has stood firm in BiH. media scene. This is testified by the users service agencies - print and electronic media, a number of institutions, companies, civic associations, and individuals at the end.

ZIPA PHOTO AGENCY was founded by a group of photographers, professionals and enthusiasts with the basic goal that its photo-reporters can quickly convey a timely and content-rich photo to the public. Through their work so far, together with fifty colleagues and associates, they have shown that the slogan and motto of the Agency is "BEWARE! MOMENT!" fully achievable in real life, because the ZIPA PHOTO photographed and transferred to other numerous events. Photography is created only in that one moment that can never be repeated. ZIPA PHOTO has brought Banja Luka, Republika Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina closer to the world with its work, but also vice versa, it has brought the world and understanding of the world closer to our environment by reporting on domestic and world events.

Another important dimension of the Agency's work is that it has become an unavoidable source of photo recordings of what has happened in Banja Luka, Republika Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina in the last five years. The ZIPA PHOTO database today archives more than 100,000 photographs as testimonies of life in the past five years, as well as an archive of photographs from 1990 to the present, which is an indispensable source of data for historians and other researchers today and in the future.

Although the basic intention of the Agency is to record events through reporter's and informative photography and transfer them to further users, from the first day ZIPA PHOTO encourages and publishes photographs that belong to other creative forms of expression such as artistic, advertising and other forms. It is thus set as a natural continuation and crown of the work of a significant constellation of Banja Luka photo reporters and other photographers and the tradition they have created.

The founders of the Agency started it out of love for photography as a profession, creativity and what photography represents in the media and people's lives. It is with pleasure to conclude today that good photography is increasingly required as an independent record that marks the MOMENT and the environment in which we live.
